Well, I've been back on the island for 6 weeks now, and D and I have decided to live apart come springtime. Not necessarily separate or divorce, mind, but that we're best suited for living in different areas. He wouldn't be happy in a city, and I'm not happy in the sticks. Also, I require better social, cultural, educational, and financial opportunities than what are available in the country.

I can only hope this will work out. If not, I don't know what will happen to us.
